Prescriptions can be filled at the Julia Creek Pharmacy in the main street at Shop 1/ 45 Burke Street and can be contacted on (07) 4746 7073.
The pharmacy is open 9:30am – 5:00pm weekdays and 9:30am – 1:30pm on Saturdays.

Yes but only through the Telstra network, however Telstra Wholesale Mobile Network Providers (i.e. ALDI Mobile, Belong, Boost Mobile, Woolworths Everyday Mobile) do not have reliable service within the McKinlay Shire.. If you have a phone through another carrier, you can pick up a Telstra pre-paid Sim card from the Julia Creek Post Office on the corner of Burke and Julia Streets, or Julia Creek News at 42 Burke Street. Yes the water being artesian, is safe and suitable for drinking. However, if you are reluctant to drink it, there are a number of different brands of bottled water available from a number of shops in town.

The Julia Creek Caravan Park allows dogs on all caravan/camping sites, but not permitted in twin-single-units or self contained cabins. No local motels are pet-friendly.
